My name is Dr James Chanaka and I had been a GP in Hervey Bay since 2011.
I am particularly passionate about chronic disease management, palliative care and advocacy for general practice and patients.
In my spare time I enjoy time with family including two grown up children and running the famous parkrun along the Esplanade . I have ran and still participate in major marathon festivals in Queensland and Victoria with my favourite course being Gold Coast .
